The gun issue will ruin him. He can’t hedge on this. I love the guy but will not vote for anyone who doesen’t support gun rights. Never.

  2. KJO says:

It’s not just guns. Rudy G. is an east coast liberal. He’s a Republican only in the sense that La Guaredia was a Republican. Both are/were fusion types. There is no functioning Republican party as Red Staters understand it in New York. There are just groups of non-Democrats who seek common cause on some issues; and few of these issues have much to do with social policy. Social policy out east is made by the radical liberals Democrats, and if you disagree with them you are guilty of “hate” speech.

Partial birth abortion, gun “control”, homosexual “unions”, meet the future.

    He’s not for me either.

  3. Kathy says:

I love Rudy, but my concern is that he would also weaken the country by swallowing the global warming junk science forecasts of the coming doom of the planet. His recent comments in CA on the issue were very disappointing.

OTOH - between McCain and Romney - Rudy is far and away the best choice. McCain/Feingold is a millstone, and governing taxachusetts scores no real points anywhere south of DC or west of OH.

If Rudy managed to link his name with Newt or a staunch conservative - it would certainly help - preferably someone stronger on the social issues, and with a brain on the politicization of the science on GW.
