February Straw Poll — Vote Rudy!
by Patrick Ruffini :: February 12th, 2007 11:46 pmMatt Margolis has been providing regular 2008 straw polling over at GOP Bloggers. It’s good stuff. This month’s poll is now up.
I’m posting the poll below even though I suspect, based on previous polling, it will have the effect of narrowing my guy Rudy’s lead. I want to know how much work I still have to do on you guys.

Am I missing something, or have you decided not to cover the candidacy of Ron Paul (R-Texas)?
My vote goes to Condi Rice. She has the foreign policy experience for becoming our next president; ready to hit the ground running in January 2009. She knows all the world leaders and has a good relationship with most of them.
When her name is included in the national polls, she comes out as a serious contender.
Her strong stand against Chavez of Venezula is example of her toughness. Protecting US interests in South America is important and she said we will be making strong connections with Argentina and Brazil. Chavez wants to become the next Castro and I think Condi will be the person to help contain Chavez from building his empire.
Patrick,
Rudy seems totally unaware of how politically toxic his position of the 2nd amendment is. It will prove to be his undoing. There are something like seventy million gunowners in the U.S. What if just 20% refuse to vote for him?
Where is Ron Paul?! Are ya’ll really that stupid? You’ve got someone on this list who isn’t even a candidate! Dr. Paul’s REALLY got ya’ll scared, hasn’t he! I wouldn’t vote for ANY of the above crooks if I had a gun aimed at my head. Ghouliani, are ya nuts?!!!!!
Same old question. Why have you left Ron Paul off the list? Maybe he gets so many votes it screws things up. But leaving him off screws things up too.
Give up on Rudy. He doesn’t have a chance. He will soon go the way of McCain. No one who supports the Iraq war can win this thing. Didn’t you notice what happened in 2006?
Besides, his poll numbers have fallen from the high ’40’s to the mid-low ’20’s. They ain’t going back up.

[…] From what I can tell, Patrick was the only blogger-with-a-known-agenda pushing the poll out to his supporters. And Patrick isn’t even urging a vote for his guy. He keeps it real with his readers by writing: I’m posting the poll below even though I suspect, based on previous polling, it will have the effect of narrowing my guy Rudy’s lead.
