To ability for private citizens to participate in the selection of a president is the basic function of our representative government. With donated funds from those private citizens who believe Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will be a contender for 2008, our message is getting out across the nation.
In past national polls, the strong support FOR Condi Rice to run in 2008 has been widely reported. Even at the recent CPAC event in Washington DC, hundreds of people wanted to know what the latest comments by Secretary Rice meant during her interviews on Fox and ABC. The phrase, “IF I serve my full term, it will have been 12 years since a white male held the position (as Secretary of State).
She is a wordsmith, and “IF” means a great deal in the political world, leaving enough wiggle room for Condi.
Whether a single individual or a group of people want to create a video to influence the selection of our next president or whether they want to create a group to DRAFT the person into running, it is the purest form of democracy that we are free to do it.
One of the Condi 2008 groups is www.thinkcondi.net with newpaper articles and blog sites for getting out the message.
Thank you for allowing me to speak up for Condi on your site.
