When I give presentations, I don’t talk about Facebook. I talk about Facebook and whatever comes after it. Nothing (except Google) is permanent these days.

Boyd presents some interesting ideas, and the demographic realities of a specific user community are important to consider when developing strategy for that community, but one would do well to remember that her work includes no evidence that extends beyond the anecdotal.
