I think what everyone dances around is that most Americans would simply favor an economic system that is similar to todays but limits Corporate Compensation - including benefits- to 400K/year hard maximum. The people at the top would also have to show that they are on site at least 40 hrs/week. No company time Yachting or Golfing plus have to Fly Coach & stay at Budget Hotels if on Business. Also no perks that aren't readily available to all. So maybe a 401K program but its the only option & open to all employees at the same level of benefit. Corporations would ditch prestigious High Rises for spartan Office Parks or maybe Decommissioned ICE Detention Centers. Every office would be close to transit with free employee parking. Finally Suits & Ties would be out unless you were going to a Funeral or Appearing in Court, Everyone especially at the top would wear Polo Shirts & Khakis that could be bought in Bulk at Costco. The Term used to be Economic Democracy which had no room for Socialism of any stripe especially Marxism,
